After arriving on our shores in August, HMD Global has today announced a temporary price drop on their Nokia 3.1 at JB Hifi.

The price drop is in effect now and runs until October 3rd offering $50 off the price, knocking it down to just $199. The Nokia 3.1 comes with a curved 5.2″ 18:9 aspect ratio HD resolution IPS LCD display embedded in a CNC machined aluminium frame which is available in two colours: Black/Chrome and White/Iron.

The phone is powered by a MediaTek 6750 octa-core processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB of on-board storage with a microSD card slot capable of expanding storage to a further 256GB. A 13MP rear camera sensor on the rear is complemented by an 8MP front-facing camera with a wide-angle lens.

This is the fourth Nokia handset to join the Android One family, strengthening the growing partnership between HMD Global and Google. The Nokia 3.1 will receive three years of monthly security patches and two years of OS updates, including the highly anticipated Android Pie update coming later this year.
