Not to be outdone by Aldi’s $399 special 2 weeks ago, JB Hi-Fi have a great deal on a Blaupunkt 50-inch 4K smart TV currently.

The Blaupunkt 50-inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV is getting thrown out for only $395. That’s a ridiculous price considering you could buy one of these a couple of years ago for well over $1,000.

If you’re looking for a bigger screen or just a bit of an upgrade from your current (older generation) TV then this may be well worth a look not just based on price. This TV has most of the functions you’d expect to see from a higher end TV including: USB Recording, Multiple HDMI ports, built in HD tuner, Wifi Connectivity for Smart TV functions, wall mountable (you’ll need to buy the wall mount bracket separately) and comes with 2 year warranty.

What better reason is there to get down to your local JB Hi-Fi to take a look at some new toys?

Yep, as much as the guys do a good job it is getting off track these days.

Dunno, the fact that 3,000 odd people have read this story this morning alone suggests people are interested in discounted 4K TVs.

It could possibly also be the fact that some are subscribed to ausdroid like myself. i clicked on the article, thinking perhaps there would be some verbage on the tv. as opposed to what i got – which was essentially useless.

i got more information on this tv reading the comments on ozbargain.

glad im not the only one that expects more from you guys.

    Chris Rowland

I get that you expect more, but perhaps you underestimate the environment that we work in. We don’t charge readers to access Ausdroid. It’s a free resource for the community, and it’s paid for by advertising and partnership deals. On this, there’s no money from JB to us – we earn advertising on THIS page and that kind of stuff helps us keep the lights on. When we find good deals like this – and the TV is cheap for what it is – we share them, because the data says that people will read the story and be interested.… Read more »

What’s the average page view normally? I think we’d appreciate a little perspective so we can understand why articles like this are necessary to continue keeping the site going for the local Android news also, that would help :). As it is the read numbers above mean nothing really. Is that a lot for Ausdroid?

    Chris Rowland

For the average story we expect to see 1500-2000 PV. That JB story has near tripled the top end of that, and yes – to give the readers perspective – that has helped the site out quite a lot.

Don’t get me wrong. If it keeps the lights on then who am I to tell you otherwise.

All I’m asking for is a bit more off an ausdroid perspective rather than a copy paste of some random deal. I clicked on the article to see of there was something of note from the authors perspective on this tv. Maybe there was something of note on this particular tv that might appeal to ausdroid readers.

If you’re up for ramping up/ maintaining your user based on what’s essentially clickbait then by all means go ahead.
