Disney+ has had a tumultuous launch overseas with many people reporting connection errors, and it might not be working at all if you’re running an Nvidia Shield TV.

According to an Nvidia staff post you may not be able to download the app on rooted devices or those running a hotfix release.

Casting Disney+ to a Shield is limited to HD resolution only, and 4K content will not play at all unless you also have HDR or Dolby Vision enabled.

If you are in the Google Play Services beta program, you may also run into problems trying to install the app on your Shield. Nvidia suggests removing your account from the beta program.

Nvidia is working to iron out these issues while also bringing Dolby Atmos support to the Disney+ app.

Disney+ will be available locally on the 19th November priced at $8.99 per month or $89.99 per year. Hopefully the launch problems are sorted out by then.
