Optus X Sight now available through Optus Pre-Paid

Optus have quietly added a new budget low end device to its pre-paid line up of devices with another of its X series with the Optus X Sight.

The X Sight, while not something to get overly excited about, does offer some pretty decent specs for a budget device for your hard earned but is for those who aren’t wanting or needing the latest high end specs at a least — at $99 you are sure not going to get that.

So what do you get for the $99::

• Quad Core A53 @ 1.3GHz Unknown Processor Chip
• 2GB RAM
• 16GB on board storage which is capable of being extended to 128GB via MicroSD card
• 8MP Rear Camera
• 5MP Front Facing Camera
• 3000mAh (removeable) Battery
• Bluetooth v4.2
• GPS: BDS/GPS/Galileo, with A-GPS, Accelerometer
• FM radio
• 3.5mm audio jack
• Android 10 (Go Edition)

The Optus X Sight is the company’s first ever Android 10 (Go Edition) device and at $99 it is no surprise to see it as a prepaid device. It is also a welcoming decision to still have a 3.5mm headphone jack, given many devices and manufacturers are slowly removing this option from their devices — although it does seem to be a staple of the entry-level devices.
