We got our first quick look at the Motorola e6s back in May — it’s the baby sibling of the newly released G8 and G8 Power Lite. It’s a really simple phone you can pick up on a budget, offering a range of features for $179 outright.

The specs of the e6s show clearly its aimed at first time buyers or users who just want a phone and to be able to take some “happy snaps” with its

  • MediaTek Helio P22 processor
  • 32GB Storage (upgradeable through MicroSD storage) and 2GB RAM
  • 6.1-inch 1560 x 720 at 282PPI display
  • 3000mAh battery
  • Running Android 9 Pie
  • Weighing only 160 grams
  • f2.2 aperture on the main 13MP camera

It an interesting device and is now available in Peacock Blue at retailers including Big W, The Good Guys and the Motorola online store.

Kind of weird to release this after the E6 Plus has been out for ages. With better specs.

Does the E6 Plus actually have better specs? On paper they look to be the same, although this looks much nicer than the glossy metallic finish on the E6 Plus

The differences are slight I agree but the E6 Plus is better. But even if you consider them to be basically the same phone, why release the “same” phone again in the same territory?

E6s is much nicer than E6 Plus in my opinion. Much nicer finish and less fingerprinty..
