After announcing they were halting the rollout of Android Wear 2.0 due to a ‘bug’ last night, it appears one manufacturer is still going ahead, with Polar advising their rollout starts today.
The announcement of the halt was given in a statement to Wareable last night, but in response to a customer query on Twitter, the Polar social media team has confirmed the Android Wear 2.0 update will head out today.
Starting today, the update will roll out gradually within the next week. M600 will notify you automatically 🙂

After the announcement of Android Wear 2.0, Polar advised they would be updating the M600 with the update in ‘Spring’ which has now arrived (in the Northern Hemisphere). The Polar update won’t just include the Android Wear 2.0 update, but new features for tracking swimming specifically for the M600. After the update, M600 owners will be able to track laps, distance and strokes, with the watch able to even differentiate between different swimming strokes such as freestyle, breaststroke and more.
I’ve already checked my M600 this morning and been disappointed, but it’s hopefully not going to take too long to arrive.
