The rollout of Oreo to the Nokia range of phones continues, this time with the Beta arriving for the mid-range Nokia 5 and it will be coming to the Nokia 6 too.
The announcement was made by HMD Global Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas on Twitter who said:
#AndroidOreo for #Nokia5 has landed on Nokia phones beta labs! Android has never tasted sweeter.
What's more, Android 8.0 Oreo™ beta for #Nokia6 is coming soon! https://t.co/91uhqstnnm pic.twitter.com/0slgeNbfdC— Juho Sarvikas (@sarvikas) December 12, 2017
The update is for Android 8.0 (no 8.1 for you…yet) includes all the Oreo goodies you could expect including Picture-in-Picture, Notification Dots, Auto-fill passwords, faster bootup and the latest December Security update. To get into the Beta program you simply need to head over to the Nokia BetaLabs, and sign-in then hand over your device details and a then a Beta update will be on its way to you soon.
There’s no word on how long the Beta will last, but the Nokia 8 beta was about 4 weeks before it rolled out in full.
