Australian developer behind such great applications as Tweetlanes and Action Launcher, today unveiled his latest creation – Link Bubble.
The concept behind Link Bubble is simple, we spend an inordinate amount of time on our mobile devices waiting for webpages to load, Link Bubble simply loads a web link in a floating browser which for all intents and purposes appears to be a floating Chat Head, but is really called a yep, you guessed it Link Bubble, that notifies you when your webpage is ready. Once the webpage is ready link Bubble pops up a floating window above your current App, ready for you to read. Once you’re finished you grab the Link Bubble and can either drag it to a share circle, add it to Pocket if you decide it’s too long for you to read right now or close it. There’s also another neat feature that Link Bubble brings to the party, it detects YouTube video embeded in webpages and gives you an option to load them up in the YouTube App.
Link Bubble is free, but it’s limited to opening links from just one Application and you can also only open one browser window at a time. But, there’s an option to purchase a pro version which unlocks the multi-tabs which will all load in the background while you continue surfing the web, Twitter, Google+ or whatever application you want. And you don’t get any more prompts to update to the full version ;).
It’s $4.99 to upgrade to the Pro Version, but very much worth it. The major bonus of course is that by purchasing the full version you get to support an Australian Developer. You can get the free version from Google Play, here. Or if you want to jump right in, the Pro version is available on Google Play, here.
