After launching exclusively in Woolworths Supermarkets and Big W stores, other retailers such as Coles, Dick Smith, Officeworks and 7-11 stores began selling Google Play Gift Cards last month and the sales are finally here. In their latest catalogue, Coles are offing 10% Google Play Gift Cards brought in-store.
The catalogue, which begins from tomorrow, Wednesday 28th May, runs for one week until Tuesday 3 June 2014, have the $20, $30 and $50 gift cards available with 10% off. The gift cards can be brought from your local Coles store, although we are unsure if this offer will extend to Coles Central stores (namely within Sydney CBD) or Coles Express fuel outlets as well.
Let us know if you’ve picked up the 10% off at Coles Central or Coles Express Fuel.
I find it frustrating that you cannot use Google Play Store Credit for subscriptions. Definitely limits what you can buy from the Google Play Store.
You can use (Telstra) prepaid credit though, works a treat
Only if the item you want is less than $20. It’s Telstra policy. Not a restriction set up by Google.
Over $20, Telstra have things set with Google to force the purchase to either go through your Google Play credit, or your credit card.
Braindead policy by Telstra, IMO, since most albums worth buying are priced over $20
