Guardians of the Galaxy
The US Summer movie blockbuster season is still upon us, that means we’re still seeing big budget feature films arriving in theatres. Next month Guardians of the Galaxy, the latest Marvel Super-hero movie joins the list of Marvel movie franchises and it looks absolutely killer. But what’s a movie without a game tie-in? Well, now you can play Guardians of the Galaxy as Marvel Games have released Guardians of the Galaxy: TUW (The Ultimate Weapon) into Google Play.

Let’s get this out of the way, at $5.25 it’s a pretty expensive game, but the up-side is – no In-App Purchases! You can also play the game offline. That’s the good news, but there’s more, the Game Trailer makes it look like a whole bunch of fun :

As you can see it’s a pretty basic game premise, you play as one of the five Guardians of the Galaxy: Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax the Destroyer, Groot or Rocket the Racoon. You fight your way through ’60 levels of real-time, gesture-based combat in Story Mode’ levelling up your skill levels of your team. Then, once you’re all over story mode, bring your team to Arena Mode to fight previous bosses like Korath, Nebula, Ronan and more.

There’s the old social element which will help Marvel to spread word of Guardians of the Galaxy to as many people as possible using you to do it as well (Clever Girl!). You can connect to Google Play Game Services or Facebook to compete for achievements or show off your high-scores.

Guardians of the Galaxy is a good looking comic, a great story and looks like it will be a great movie. At $5.25, it may be worth grabbing as soon as it goes on-sale, if you’re a massive fan then get on it and let us know what you think.

The app was not found in the store. 🙁
