Dropbox, we all use it, generally love it, and it’s getting better as of today. Dropbox has announced that they have now incorporated a PDF viewer, as well as in-document search into the latest version of their Android app.
The new update is rolling out to Google Play users over the next couple of days, and adds the ability to preview your PDF documents without leaving the Dropbox app. The PDF viewer is also available offline which is a bonus for those occasions when you’re either on the move on a plane or just in a terrible reception area.
Sharing is also easier with a new share option available from within the app. Shared files are also added to a ‘Sent Files’ folder in your Dropbox so you can keep track of which PDFs you’ve shared.
Another feature introduced in this latest update is in-document search. Searching within the app will now search through PDFs, Word Docs and Powerpoint files, letting you jump straight into the information you need.
The app will be updated in Google Play over the next few days, so keep an eye out for a prompt to update. If you haven’t tried out Dropbox, it’s worth giving it a shot.
