Stick Sports, a joint Aussie/English venture have today released Stick Cricket 2, a follow-up to their wildly successful game Stick Cricket.
The graphics are a little better, the gameplay a little more fun and the animations a bit more in-depth and you can play as a female or male player. Stick Cricket 2 offers you the chance to play on a variety of stages, from local club cricket matches – including using local teams from Sydney like the Reg Bartley Eleven – all the way up to the big guns of International Cricket.
There’s been improvement in the shots you can play as well, with a little more variety on offer, including the option to play shots like the Scoop, Ramp, Switch Hit and Helicopter shots. These shots are a lot better animated than the original, but the Stick Sports team seems to have kept the charm and style of the original.
The game is a freemium title, so you can download it free and then if you choose to you can use the in-app purchases to get ahead a bit quicker than normal. IAP ranges in price from A$1.29 – A$37.99 per item, which includes better gear to power up your game, but it’s a matter of only if you want to, you can still have a heap of fun without spending a cent – but yes you can purchase a Gorilla suit.
Finally, this is cricket, so it’s all about the stats and with Stick Cricket 2 you can log your stats, and then sync them across device and track your progress and move items across multiple devices.
Stick Cricket 2 is available to download in Google Play right now, if you’re a fan of the original you should definitely give this one a go.
