Google is having a retro moment over on Google Play Music, offering a bunch of albums from the 1980’s from $5.99. Featuring albums from John Farnham (Whispering Jack), Michael Jackson (Thriller) and Cyndi Lauper (She’s So Unusual), you can also find a bunch of compilation albums featuring all your favourite hits from the 80’s.
Normally when Google is having a focus, they’ve been bundling up a few tracks for free, but this time around you’ll have to pay $0.69 for their mini-album, called Play: 80s. The Play: 80s mini-compilation album features five tracks with some pretty big names behind them:
- I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me) – Whitney Houston
- (I’ve Had) The Time of My Life – Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes
- Girls Just Wanna Have Fun – Cyndi Lauper
- You Spin Me Round (Like a Record) – Dead Or Alive
- We Built This City – Starship
If you’re a child of the 80’s and still prefer owning your music to streaming it, head on over to Google Play Music’s 80s focus and grab a few albums

Thanks for the heads up, Dan.
Although my bank account isn’t so happy with you for finding this lot.
