Google launched Android for Work back in February, however it was only available to users who were running Android 5.0+ (Lollipop) – with Android for Work baked into the core OS. Google has now expanded availability of Android for work launching an app for users running Android 4.0-4.4W.
Android for Work allows users to run a seperate working space for their business life, which runs completely separately to their normal every day personal phone use. Based on the Samsung KNOX technology, Android for Work brings the security of the Samsung platform to almost all Android users.
Android for Work still requires a Google Apps domain and your Apps Domain administrators support, with some back end details required to be setup behind the scenes. If you’ve gone through all that rigmorale your IT admin can now use the Android for Work app on your phone to control remote wipes, encryption levels and more.
