Manufacturers like HTC and Motorola have been publishing the apps normally baked into their Android skins onto Google Play for some time. This process makes it easier to update the app as it doesn’t have to go through the rigorous testing process that carriers put updates under before delivering an update to customers. Now it seems Samsung has seen the light and has dipped their toe in, to test the waters by releasing S Health to Google Play.

S Health is the baked in Samsung health app which tracks your activity, health and calorie intake on a daily basis. It’s tied into the Samsung cloud – but it’s a pretty good app. It’s gotten an overhaul in the latest version and it’s looking very material in appearance as befits the Android 5.0 based Touchwiz that is running on the Galaxy S6/S6 Edge.
