It’s been a weird couple of weeks with the Google Play App and Game Deal of the Week, but they’re back on form this week with new 20c deals available first thing this morning. This week we get something a little different for the App deal of the Week, with an In-App Purchase found within Runtastic reduced to 20c, and if the Game Deal of the Week seems familiar, that’s because it was first put up as the Game Deal of the Week just over a year ago.
App Deal of the Week
Runtastic Running & Fitness
The app deal of the week is available via In-App Purchase in Runtastic Running & Fitness, hit the slide out Nav Drawer once you install the app and login and select ‘Story Running’ then scroll down to find ‘THE GLOBERUNNER’ which is the deal of the week.
Runtastic has a heap of different stories, and rather than something like Zombie’s Run which has a story to match your run, this just tells a motivational story – or at least that’s what it seems from the Audio Preview. The stories are created exclusively for Runtastic by ‘an international team of story tellers, musicians & sound technicians’ and at 20c it may be worth giving this one a look.
The story for Globerunner:
One week ago, work was his life. The decision to trade a workaholic lifestyle for running shoes, a suitcase and a plane ticket was a tough one. But now he’s really and truly jogging through Rio de Janeiro! Where else will his journey take him?
To get in on the deal, install Runtastic then grab the IAP and see what you think.
Game Deal of the Week
Townsmen Premium
If you’ve been following the deals of the week, this is a bit of a disappointment this week, but if you’re new to collecting all the deals then this is a new opportunity, but Townsmen Premium is back down to just 20c.
Townsmen Premium is a city building simulator set in medieval times, there’s an ad-supported version of Townsmen for free if you want to try it out, but pay the 20c and you get no ads and ‘250 Prestige’ to start you off.
You’ll build a medieval city and create a home for your inhabitants, with a complex economy and of course an army to fight off attacks from invading armies or just bandits. There’s dozens of different buildings to build your city from the ground up and a bunch of different scenarios will befall your town.
Of course as it’s a HandyGames title, it’s got In-App Purchases, which range from $1.19 – $98.99 per item.
If you haven’t grabbed Townsmen Premium yet, head over to Google Play and grab it now.
I`m never a fan of double-dipping apps which have an upfront price and then In-App Purchases, so the Runtastic Story is my pick this week. But it’s up to you, which do you like this week?
