Fans of UK sci-fi comedy show Red Dwarf will probably be aware that a new series of the show, series 11, will begin airing on the 22nd of September on British TV station ‘Dave’, to go along with the launch the official mobile game will be launching on the same day.
Created by developer GameDigits, the mobile game will be available from Google Play and the iOS app store. The Red Dwarf mobile game, which features all new content from series co-creator Doug Naylor, has been trying to get off the ground for many years and will allow you to take control of both Red Dwarf and Star Bug exploring the universe and playing mini games throughout, with high-res graphics which look fantastic.
The new series includes 6 brand new episodes featuring all the stars of the series you know and love with Craig Charles, Chris Barrie, Danny John-Jules and Robert Llewellyn all returning to their familiar roles. These new episodes will also be the basis of updates for the game which will be updated throughout the run of the series.
Fans of the series in Australia will be able to buy the series on DVD and possibly Blu-Ray when it’s launched, or if you want to fire up a VPN you could try watching it on the Dave website. It’s also possible that the ABC, who’ve previously picked up and aired the ‘Back to Earth’ return of the series, may also air it here.
For now though, here’s the Red Dwarf Series 11 Trailer:
More information regarding pricing for the game will be available in the lead up to the series launch which comes in just a couple of weeks.
