Google’s Duo video calling app is finally available after a long wait, and while we wait for their messaging/Google Assistant conduit Allo to arrive, they’re ramping up the push for Duo with a series of new 35-second commercials.
The commercials show a variety of things that come in pairs: Salt & Pepper, Peanut Butter & Jelly (US people), Socks, Coffee & Cream and Toothbrush & Toothpaste. The ads are cutesy but get the message across, showing the simple interface and the ‘Knock, Knock’ preview feature that lets you see who’s calling you and what they’re doing before you answer.

Duo recently topped 10 million installs from Google Play. The app, which initially hit the tops of the Google Play popular apps charts has nose-dived of late sinking to number 152 in the Google Play Store rankings.
