How to add your international friends to Allo

So you’ve installed Google’s new single device messaging app Allo, you’ve played with the awesome Google Assistant and you’ve added all of your technologically compliant friends onto the platform. But now you’re ready to expand your horizons across the sea and add your international friends into the conversation. But how do you add them? Simple, make sure they are entered in your phone with their unique country code.

What is a country code? Ever seen a number with +61 (Australia) or +1 (USA) in front of them? They’re calling codes shortened for mobile phones, the + lets the network know you want to dial an international number and the number tells them which country to send your call too. I format all of my numbers this way just in case I need to dial someone when I’m not in the country.
