Anyone who has used a Chromecast, or who has a Pixel probably knows about Google’s curated wallpaper program, giving you beautiful backgrounds regularly downloaded to keep your phone or your TV fresh. However, Google has decided to make these photos more accessible, announcing its Featured Photos screensaver for Mac.

Using Featured Photos, Mac users can display stunning, high-resolution photography from Google+ members whenever your computer is inactive. The Wallpapers app which came with Pixel can be used to display these same photos as background images on Android home or lock screens.

Are you an aspiring landscape photographer, or are you creating amazing photos that you’d like to see shared worldwide using Google’s featured photos? It’s easy — all you have to do is share them publicly on Google+ (if you don’t want to be considered, you can turn this option off in your Google+ settings). If you’re an avid photographer and want to increase your chance of being considered, Google encourages you to join the Google+ Create program.

The screensaver dialog says it doesn’t work with MacOS Sierra, but it does. No options though, so I’ve got the same image on both monitors.

Great on the phone too!
