After launching live video streaming to users late last year, Instagram is today rolling out a new update to their Android and iOS apps that lets you save that video to your phone when you’re done.
The Live video save option is only for the video itself, unfortunately all those unique comments, likes, view counts etc. won’t be saved. The bonus here is that if something memorable does occur in the video itself, you will now have a copy to save, and perhaps upload as a permanent part of your feed.
To save a video it’s simple. Once you’re finished your live video broadcast you simply tap the ‘Save’ button in the upper right corner of your screen.
The update is rolling out to Android and iOS devices now through their respective app stores, ensure you have the latest update and start streaming!
