Transperth has released an updated app for Perth public transport users after a successful testing phase.

The app, which is available for free through Google Play and the App Store (iOS/Apple), enables the real-time tracking of buses, trains and ferry services accross the Transperth network. The addition of GPS tracking on buses is a major point of the update with the app.

Western Australian transport and planning minister Rita Saffioti has said that:

“This app is all about making public transport a more streamlined, efficient experience for all passengers,”

Users can also link their Transperth My Account to the app to easily manage, Your SmartRider, Your SmartParker, including your active vehicle, Your bike shelter access and Your My Alerts subscriptions.
