YouTube Music is continuing its steady march to becoming the only choice for music streaming in Google’s realm. We have seen continual improvements in functionality and a move towards feature parity with Google Play Music, now the latest update brings option to further explore new releases.

The extension of the function now allows users to follow the “See All” button. This lets you navigate and investigate all of the new releases and brings more features from Google Play Music to the YouTube platform. Prior to this update all you could do was scroll across for a small selection of the new releases. There is still no way to select the new releases per genre though so hopefully that will arrive soon.

There are still a few difference features that need to be migrated across including personal libraries but it seems it is not far from completion.

What features do you need from Google Play Music before you migrate to YouTube Music?

I want my thumbs ups to be migrated.

Yeah, I need my playlists migrated over. I know that it’s probably unlikely to happen, but if it doesn’t happen, then I’m going to leave rebuilding the lists until the absolute last minute.

I went to transition about 2 weeks ago and I was surprised to see that a lot of the music I listen to (EDM, trance) was not on YouTube music. Of a 400 song personal playlist, less than half are not available. None of these songs are what I have uploaded either. Seems very odd.

I need all my playlists, albums added online and my hundreds of personal locker uploads before I can truly be all in.
