Dark mode, a feature that you either love or hate but an ever increasing feature that is requested, has begun rolling out overnight to Android and iOS users of WhatsApp.
The new Dark mode feature, should you choose to enable it, will keep the app looking the same with either with a white or darker background feature obviously.
WhatsApp developers have chosen colours that are close to the system defaults on both operating systems, with some minor design tweaks to ensure important information or chat features still stand out.
If you’re a WhatsApp user and would like to try out the new dark mode feature, all you need to do is to go into System Settings. Android 9 users will need to select WhatsApp Settings > Chats > Theme > Dark. If you are a dark mode person head on into your settings and change over now.
