If you’re a heavy user of WhatsApp you’ll know that while you can send links, the previews aren’t great. In fact, they really just take up more space to show a line or two of the link. Well, if the latest from WA Beta Info comes to fruition — they’re usually on the money with info like this — then this may change pretty soon.

The change will bring WhatsApp into alignment with the other major messaging platforms offering a far more useful, thumbnail image included a preview of the link you’ve sent or received. The feature hasn’t yet arrived on any public-facing devices and we don’t know when it will land yet but we’ll be keeping our eyes open for the changes.
