Optus has today advised that they have switched their on their 4G network in the Adelaide CBD, bringing Optus 4G speeds to the City of Churches just in time for Christmas. The 4G services is now active at four sites in the Adelaide CBD.
According to Günther Ottendorfer, Managing Director of Optus Networks “The response from customers in other capital cities has been so positive we’ve accelerated the rollout of 4G to Adelaide, several months ahead of schedule” so now all Optus Adelaide customers can start looking at the range of 4G devices available on Optus for Christmas like the Samsung Galaxy S III 4G or Galaxy Note II or even a HTC One SV.
But fear not faithful 3G Optus customers because Optus has advised that they will be upgrading their existing 3G network in Adelaide in 2013 to bring faster 3G speeds and better indoor reception. The map above appears to show good intention to expand so if you’re in the market for a new phone then it may be a good time to start lpoking.
