Rejoice, owners of Milestones! ‘Lipka’ on Whirlpool Forums appears have got in contact with Motorola Australia and managed to squeeze some Android 2.2 news from them:
“Android 2.2 is coming to Milestone this year, but I can’t give you a timeframe.”
Well, I think everyone is aware there are just over 4 months left in the year, so it can’t be all that far away, as long as Optus don’t put their foot in it. And if Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 owners feel saddened by this, don’t worry guys you’ll be getting your Android 2.1 update in September, and possibly 2.2 before 2013 at this rate 😉

Speaking of useless Optus Stores, after my house burnt down on Black Saturday not one of the many Optus Stores I visited would honour the free phone “help” that Optus promised to all those affected by the fires…dodgy! Optus were happy to ram the concept in the public’s face via huge ads in newspapers and the like, but didn’t actually help (in fact, they wasted my precious time and money instead). Mind you, ANZ were just as bad…
I should specify that my local Optus store wouldn’t even order one in for me.
The local Optus store didn’t have it but I got mine today (on Optus 49 cap)at Telechoice.
Hearing any rumours on the HTC Legend and Froyo?
Are optus even still selling the milestone as i can’t find it on their website.
Hmmm it appears to have been removed from the website, but there were still some in the store I went into the other day.
