Motorola may not be the best at keeping their phones up to date, but thats all about to change with both the Defy and the Milestone planned to receive Android 2.2 (Froyo) in Q2 and Q1 respectively. The usual speed increases, bonus features and Flash 10.1 are all things you can look forward to in the new year. For now, you can sit back and enjoy all the goodies Android 2.1 has to explore.

So does this mean we can update our current 2.1 DEFY to 2.2 or do we need to shell out for a new one?

Grunger

Your current DEFY will be updated to 2.2. No need to shell out for a new one.

I good start would be for a lot more people in Australia to use Motorola products. Australia really doesn’t rate very highly in Motorola’s consideration.

Unfortunately (for you..), Blur’s not going anywhere..

I would still say they are no good at keeping up to date… Android 2.3 will be on many devices before they release 2.2… The best thing they could do is if they release future updates without blur…

Seriously how can we start a petition to get blur killed off?
