Sony’s flagship device of 2013 will be coming to our nation’s largest carrier, Telstra. On their Twitter, Telstra announced that the Xperia Z would be coming soon with registrations of interest in the device now open. By registering you’ll receive more details about the device once Telstra release pricing and availability.
Update: The Xperia Z will launch in March.
To recap the Xperia Z: it has a 5-inch 1080p Reality Display, 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 CPU, 13MP Exmor RS camera, 2GB RAM, LTE, 2330mAh battery, Android 4.1 (4.2 coming later, in true Sony fashion), and it’s just 7.9mm in thickness. All in all a solid unit on paper.
We can safely assume that the Xperia Z will launch on one of Telstra’s high-end plans. Perhaps $79/mo or above. Will you be buying one from Telstra? Or will you buy one from an online retailer once they become available?
