Ever since Dropbox added instant upload for photos to its Android application, it has been fairly clear that they intended to focus on photo sharing to distinguish themselves from the competition. With their latest update, it’s become easier than ever to share photos from Dropbox. You can select multiple photos from the instant upload folder and sort them into albums, which can then be shared with one tap. Or if you want to share photos without sorting them into albums first, you can select the images you want and share only these to whatever application or whatever people you like.
I’m really digging the cloud storage providers’ moves towards providing specialised services (Skydrive and Google Drive’s focus on document production and sharing, and Dropbox’s focus on photos), and this latest update is a must for anyone who, like me, wants all their photos to be in one place, neatly sorted, and accessible from anywhere.
