nexus4

Google just posted a new ad showing off the Nexus 4 and Google Now.Β It’s becoming clearer and clearer that Google intends to push Now as one of Android’s killer features, and we’ve also been hearing whispers about imminent desktop and Chrome OS integration.

The ad shows off a bunch of Google Now’s capabilities including weather forecasts, train timetables, restaurant recommendations and translation, as well as a reminder of a Google+ Hangout.

It’s good to see that both Google Now and the Nexus 4 are actively being advertised, especially since Google finally seem to be sorting out supply issues with the latter.

that’s a joke, no? With such a poorly managed launch, and it still going in and out of stock every 5 minutes, advertising for it is just calling for pissed off customers

IMO bad commercial. If i had no idea what google now was before the commercial was shown I probably still wouldn’t have known what it was after seeing it. They don’t really do a good job of explaining what it is and how it works.

Fair comment, but given the fact that they had to keep it to a minute slot during the Grammys, they didn’t really have much time to explain the ins and outs.

To me, Now is the unknown hero of Android – it doesn’t receive enough love in general, those in the know love it, I think I heard that some science journal nominated it as the invention of the year last year.

I can’t imagine getting by without it now, and in Australia we don’t have the full awesomeness available to use yet.

Agreed. With the amount of data that Google has access to, the sky’s the limit in terms of what they’ll be able to do with Now.
