Carmageddon - Android

Carmageddon is a game that when it was originally released on the PC in 1997 was adored by kids and hated by parents for its overly graphic gameplay and use of blood.

Well, come next Friday 10th May, you will be able to relive all of the excitement on your Android phone or tablet.

Here is a bit of an introduction for those that haven’t played the game before: In Carmageddon, the player races a vehicle against a number of other computer controlled competitors in various settings, including city, mine and industrial areas. The player has a certain amount of time to complete each race, but more time may be gained by collecting bonuses, damaging the competitors’ cars, or by running over pedestrians. Races are completed by either completing the course as one would a normal racing game, “wasting” (wrecking) all other race cars, or killing all pedestrians on the level.

As an additional bonus, the developers are going to be releasing a free promo version on the Play Store for one day only. If you are prone to forget about things like this, simply register on carmageddon.com before the 10th May and you will be sent a reminder when the promo version is released to the Play Store. As an added bonus you will also go into the draw to win a free t-shirt and a copy of Carmageddon on COG.

So check out the video above and don’t forget to grab your copy on the 10th May.
