There are a number of rumours sweeping the web about the next generation Samsung flagships, the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Note 4. Most of the rumours are based on what Samsung are working on releasing within the next six months, so some of the rumoured features may appear on the S5, and some may need more work and show up on the Note 4.
The latest rumours are:
- A 64 bit processor will debut in the S5 or Note 4
- All of Samsungs flagship devices next year will have a ICOCELL 16MP rear camera
- The camera will possibly not have Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) because no camera module manufacturer can guarantee to supply Samsung’s 50 million 16MP OIS order
- The Galaxy S5 will have at least 3GB of RAM, possibly 4GB
- A premium version of the Galaxy S5 will have a metal body
- The Note 4 may have a 20MP camera
The last rumour is that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be split into two versions, with the release date being in March, a month ahead of the Galaxy S4 release of April 2013. There will be the “normal” version with plastic case, and a premium metal model with “YOUM” display technology.
The specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S5 are believed to be:
- 64 bit Exynos or Snapdragon processor
- 3GB of RAM
- 16MP rear camera
- 4000 mAh battery
- Android 4.4 KitKat
Naturally this is speculation at the moment, with an announcement from Samsung expected around the Mobile World Congress in February.

If the S5 and Note 4 have 64Bit they will have 4GB of RAM for sure. Nothing about higher Res screens?
