Pebble App Store pic

Overnight, Pebble has launched its Pebble App Store for its smart watch users, offering a one stop shop to customise your Pebble with various apps and watch faces, which it announced back at CES 2014.

For the moment, the Pebble App Store is for iOS only, although the Android version isn’t far off.

Pebble has stated that it is still “fine tuning” the Pebble App Store for Android users and the company is promising an update for the App Store will be available “very, very soon”, however no definitive time frame was given.

The Pebble App Store is laid out into different sections between apps and watch faces, with subsections ranging from Tools & Utilities, Notifications, Remotes, Fitness, Games, and Daily applications which is said to help make thing easier for users to find what they are exactly looking for. There is also a “Locker” feature which is said to store your favourite apps and watchfaces for quick transfers to and from your Pebble.

Do you own a Pebble Steel or original Pebble Smartwatch? Do you think the company should have launched or waited until the App Store could be available for both iOS and Android devices? Would you consider manually updating your Pebble device? We would like to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
