One of Motorola’s best selling smartphones, the Moto G, has just been upgraded to incorporate 4G LTE and and a microSD slot.

Now you may be thinking, big deal!

However, as a Moto G lover myself, one of the things that stopped me buying the Moto G was the lack of microSD support, particularly in a phone with only 8GB of internal storage. Android 4.4 KitKat does limit the way you can use your SD card to store apps but you can still push photos and music to it.

With the exception of the 4G LTE and microSD slot, the new 4G variant is the same Moto G which was released in Australia in January this year. It still comes with a quad-core Snapdragon 400 CPU, 1GB or RAM and near stock Android 4.4 KitKat along with Motorola’s own software features.

The release date and pricing for the Moto G 4G in Australia is yet to be confirmed however it is expected to sell for around $300. Keep checking back for more details as they come to hand.

For anyone that is in the market for a good cheap 4G smartphone with microSD slot, you can’t go past the Moto G 4G.

Thanks for the “closer look”. I cannot wait to get one with the 4G LTE!!! Any news when will be available to buy it in a store in Aus? Was it released anywhere else (e.g. US, UK or India)? I cannot find any news on the net…

Any thoughts on whether the Moto g 4g would be an upgrade from a Nexus 4? Also, is it dual sim?
