Google is running an event on Tuesday August 19 in Sydney called An Evening with Android Wear, where you’ll be able to learn about the Android Wear platform and how to design and build wearable apps.
The event will be presented by Google’s Timothy Jordan and Ankur Kotwal. Tim is a Staff Developer Advocate at Google based in the USA and has spent a lot of time working with and advocating for Google Glass in the past few years. Ankur is based here in Sydney and is Google’s APAC Head of Scalable Developer Advocacy.
The event is aimed at product managers and designers with some technical aspects for developers as well.
If you’d like to attend, please submit your details on this Google form. Full invitations will be sent via email.
For more information, check out Ankur’s post on the event.
Hi, do you know where we can go to look at Android Wear devices in person? I really want to get one, but I’m worried they’re still very clunky.
Hi Murray, which watches do you have your eye on? Some are sold via retailers, but not all models.
I really wanted to see the Moto 360, LG Watch R or LG Watch Urbane… I’ve seen the Samsung tizen watch in person, but only Android Wear on the LG Watch R while in Japan last month… but even that was hard to find.
Any help would be appreciated. I’m based in Sydney but down in Melbourne frequently.
I requested an invite. I don’t design, or develop Android Wear, I don’t even own Android Wear. I wonder how this will turn out. Will be sure to let you guys know! hah
