We know that Samsung is working on Lollipop builds for the Galaxy S5 having seen video of a working build previously, but this time around it’s the Galaxy S4’s turn. Samsung’s previous flagship S series phone, the Galaxy S4, is also in line to receive the update to Android Lollipop, falling under the theoretical 18-month window that most OEMs provide updates to their phones in.
The video, courtesy of the folks over at SamMobile shows an early build of Lollipop (LRX02E) and while it appears to be quite a smooth experience, it doesn’t seem ready to use daily, with Wi-Fi apparently not working. The Lollipop updates includes an update to the Lollipop based TouchWiz launcher we saw on the leaked Galaxy S5 video, as well as the Popping Colours lockscreen effect that graced the S5.

Never got an optus update for the galaxy s4. checked today and 4.4.2 came out a few weeks ago. I’m glad about that, but probably going to end up getting a nexus 6 since the update cycle goes so slow. Happy samsung are actually taking initiative on their flagship phones however.
