Motorola has been on something of a hot streak with updates for their phones, bringing new meaning to the word Timely, at least when it comes to delivering software (Let’s not talk about delivering hardware). So it’s no surprise that Motorola is looking like they will be first to deliver the Android 5.0 update to their phones, with the Moto X (2014) looking like it will be first cab off the rank, with Motorola posting – and then quickly pulling – information about the Lollipop update for the Moto X (2014).
Thankfully, this is the internet, so nothing is ever truly deleted and you can jump over to view a cached version of the website, which lists all the details. Motorola phones are mostly stock, but enhancements like Moto Assist and Downtime, as well as Ambient mode have been integrated with all the great new Lollipop features, like the new lock screen.
When we’ll see the update is uncertain but we’ll obviously need the phone on-sale here in Australia first and hopefully both the hardware and the Android 5.0 software update won’t be too far away.
