S6 and S6 Edge
Samsung’s Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will appear in Australia in the next couple of months, and in tow will be a range of accessories. Samsung showed some off at their launch event but now they’ve shown them off in a little more detail.

Covers
Samsung has always had a strong stable of covers available for their phones, and the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are no different. There will be a a range of covers which will be suitable for both models, with covers and cases galore.

Clear-view Case

First up is the ‘Clear-view case’ which is made of an opaqe material, but displays information such as time and weather on the case, which you can interact with to reply or answer calls without opening the cover. The case will come in ‘gold, silver, and other colors that match the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge’.

cover

Next is a cover which will be ‘clear cover’ which will be more a bumper than a cover. The clear cover will be made of metal covered in glass and show the phone design off in a clear case, which will also protect the corners and back of the phone – something to think about with that glass construction.

What’s a Galaxy S series launch without an S-View cover? The S-View cover will be available in a fabric material, offering the same functions as previous S-View cases. The lineup will be available in ‘mint, coral and other fresh colors’.

Audio
Samsung will also be including a range of audio accessories in their aftermarket accessories for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, while they will obviously include a pair of basic earphones for the phones, if you’re an audiophile, or just appreciate a bit of a higher end sound then Samsung will have some product to suit you.

Level - Headphone

The Level headphones are a range of higher end ‘premium’ bluetooth headphones which offer a high quality audio experience with 11 hours of battery life. The Level headphones feature a 33mm dual-layer diaphragm speaker inside and Samsung says they’re compatible with every audio codec – including Samsung’s own HD codec.

The Level headphones offer active noise control, an equaliser accessible via app, smart touch navigation and also sharing functions. Samsung’s Level headphones come in four colours blue-black, silver, red and blue.

Level-Box-mini
If headphones aren’t what you want and you want a Bluetooth speaker, the Level Box mini will probably be more your style. Available in the same colour range as the Level headphones – blue-black, silver, red, blue – the Level Box Mini offers an option for a portable speaker to take with you anywhere you could need to get some audio shared amongst a group. The Level Box mini also has an app with an equaliser available to help give you great sound.

Charger
charger
Previously, Samsung Galaxy phones have had to have an additional ‘Charging’ case purchased to add the option for wireless charging. With the launch of the Galaxy S6/S6 Edge, this all changes, with support for all wireless charging standards built-in. Samsung has also released their own wireless charger, which will be available in White and Black.

Partners
If there’s one thing which Samsung has done it’s excite third party accessory manufacturers. Possibly second only to Apple is the availability of accessories for Samsung products and Samsung has announced a list of partners that will be producing third party accessories for the S6/S6 Edge.

phone-cases
Partners from Britto, Kate Burton, Swarovski and Mont Blanc will release an array of cases – although availability of these will most likely be fairly limited.

Samsung has also announced that the ‘Designed for Samsung’ range will see accessories from manufacturers such as Belkin, Mophie, Incipio, Otterbox and more produced. We look forward to hearing from all these partners in the next few weeks as the launch approaches for Australian availability.

We’ll know more about availability of all these accessories when Samsung hold their launch event. We’ll let you know more as we hear about it.

Seems to me with the eminence release of the Galaxy S6 you have forgotten the S5. and all the supporters who stood by Samsung when it was released last year after seeing how similar it looked to the S4. I still cannot believe we have NO update to lollipop yet. Australia was one of the first countries in the world to get the S5 yet we will be one of the last to get the new update. I think its a very poor From google, Samsung and the phone companies. Why are their releases in other countries but not here.… Read more »
