Announcements of Android Wear watches have been numerous lately but we have not seen many make it to the shelves yet. As the platform matures so does the hardware and as such the newly-released LG Watch Urbane is a welcome addition to the Android Wear lineup. It is a stylish device that goes well with any dress code. Now, not just the Play Store has it available. Expansys have today announced that they have both the silver and gold versions of the watch in stock and ready to ship, although the gold version is the only version in the local warehouse.

Style doesn’t come cheap though, with the LG Watch Urbane looking to set you back $495 plus shipping from Expansys. Although it is just $459 with free shipping from the Play Store there are some people out there that prefer not to purchase devices from the Play Store.

If you are interested in a new smartwatch this is one you will certainly want to consider, especially after watching our editor Dan’s hands-on at MWC earlier this year.

If you are someone who wants to buy from a smaller company for better service head on over to Expansys and check it out now.

I like the play store… expansys is a grey importer who I would normally turn to for gear not already here or to save a bit of cash, not as a primary.

The only reason I can think of is because the Gold version still isn’t available on the Play store…

Sorry guys but I am not happy with the better service line.
Warranty is an issue from them but that line says you are getting something out of this story.

I say this as an observation not an accusation.

If you buy online and they ship out to you, how is it better service and if the warranty is potentially their warranty then how is this better service than google with their full warranty and support systems?

Are the people that want to pay $50 to buy from not-the-play-store know as idiots or billionaires, I can never tell!
