Rumours of a larger version of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge have been growing, and today more information on the rumoured handset has emerged from SamMobile.

The handset, rumoured to be called the ‘Galaxy S6 Edge Plus’ have been circulating for over a week now, with YouTube star Marques Brownlee even showing off pictures of the device in one of his YouTube videos. The new information points towards the device having a 5.7″ dual-edge display, just like the standard S6 Edge just larger in size – which means a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Edge will probably not appear.

SamMobile has also spoken about the handset coming with Android 5.1.1, which is pretty well expected of handsets these days with Android 5.1 in the works for most of the new flagship handsets currently released such as the Note 4, and of course Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

With only three months till Samsung’s standard Galaxy Note launch party, it’s expected we should see something more of the handset then, though this is Samsung and of course anything is possible.

Would you be in the market for a 5.7″ Galaxy S6 Edge Plus?

Shame if they ditch the Note. My wife has a Note 4 and it’s a great phone.

I’m just thinking of the cost of it in Australia. Samsung sells the s6 for $999 for base price I would hate to see how much they will charge for the Note or this. How is Android phones getting more expensive in Australia year on year.

I’ll probably stick with Nexus phones but I was considering the Note last time so if I was to move it would be to the latest note for the stylus etc.
