Samsung in recent years have announced their Galaxy S flagship either at or near MWC in timing. 2018 might be set for a change though with leaks coming so early that it may suggest an announcement closer to CES in Las Vegas in January.

The Galaxy S9 has had it’s display leaked overnight to go with the renders based on CAD drawings we saw last week. The displays leaked show the Galaxy S9 and S9+ with what appears to be even smaller bezels than in the Infinity Display on last years flagship.

The front sensors and camera holes are clearly visible and the fingerprint sensor is obviously long gone from the front of the device. The writing is apparently Samsung (in Chinese) and then the obvious model names.

These match the renders we saw last week and with these leaks (and others) and it is unusual to see Samsung flagships leak this early so while we are expecting Samsung to announce the Galaxy S9 on the 25th of February it could well be earlier — it was rumoured to arrive at CES before another rumoured trumped that and mentioned February 25.

We do not think this is the case but it is definitely unusual to see Samsung flagships this far out from an announcement — maybe it is coming at CES as first rumoured?

What do you think? Do you like the Infinity Display on this phone?

Hmm how do we know someone hasn’t just got some moulded screen protectors for the S8 and written on them with a texta? … because that’s kind of how it looks 🙂
