There are a lot of providers who are doing their bit to encourage people to stay home and practice social distancing. We’re in a space now where it’s not just recommended, it’s necessary! Foxtel has joined that provider list by including a significant number of extras to subscribers – both satellite and streaming – until the end of May.

Effective from today until 31 May, Foxtel customers will have access to:

  • More content with access to Foxtel’s full range of Drama, Entertainment, Lifestyle, Documentaries, Reality and Kids TV channels and on-demand libraries.
  • Customers will have access to Multiscreen, giving expanded access to watch on up to two additional devices at the same time including casting the Foxtel GO app to additional TVs.
  • Foxtel Now customers will have Drama Extra, Docos, Pop, Lifestyle and Kids added to their Essentials, Pop or Lifestyle packs.
  • Unlimited broadband data for all Foxtel Broadband and Foxtel NBN customers who are on monthly data allowances for streaming and home internet without limits.

It’s a generous and very clever move from Foxtel with the potential to increase their income longer term.

What content will you be binging on Foxtel during their extra content offering?

Dean Lewis

Anyone looking at the Foxtel Now box, the Vodafone TV box is cheaper, also supports free to air TV aerial input, can install the Foxtel app and is superior, faster, etc.

I can’t recommend the Foxtel Now Box.

Ed

100% agree. Rip off Murdoch

RW Hetherington

I totally agree with Laurence, foxtel should reduce the bill for subscribers I mainly get it for sports

John

Foxtel started out advertising no adds. The whole thing is bloody adds, adds, adds and self promotion. Honest journalism is non existent on Sky News, unless you believe all the biased Murdoch fed propaganda and shit. They brag about how they only promote the COALition and have the hide to give brain dead morons like Pauline Hanson and clowns like Alan Jones and Andrew Bolt oxygen to spruk this unadulterated crap. Then most channels are repeats of their other shows earlier or reruns. Sport was going elsewhere and they now charge you for Kayo when you used to get this… Read more »

I’m with you. Cancelled my account. Paying $92 a month for nothing is not on.

Oliver

What a load of utter crap.!
Have not seen one thread of positivity on all free to air channels
All doom and gloom!
Maybe Foxtel is too expensive but their news coverage is balanced,
Appears you are the brain dead idiot John!!

Argh, Foxtel still hasn’t learnt that the biggest problem it has its commercial/promo reals. Why should i pay a premium to watch ads and the same, the same, the same, the same (have i made it clear enough Foxtel) bloody promos.

The commerical breaks got to the point where i was having anxiety attacks with the never ending fast-forwarding i was doing.

I wouldn’t watch Foxtel even if i was paid to.

I assume they have to do something to stem the tide of subscribers to Foxtel and Kayo Sports who will be cancelling because there isn’t any sport to watch?

Laurence

They should be reducing the monthly subscription bill for those who have all the sports channels and now can’t watch anything… There are a lot of people who have Foxtel just for the sports channels. SO one wonders what the sports lovers will now watch?

Joan Harding

I’m with you, watching re-runs of old shows is not worth the cost. We get enough ads on our phones without all of them on Foxtel.
I shall have to go back to Netflix
