Google Assistant integrates with a number of video services which makes it easier to command and control your media consumption in your smart home. That deep integration does much more than letting you say “Hey Google, open YouTube on my Living Room TV” – it gives integration to content on the platform as well, making it truly powerful.
We were tipped earlier this week about two new additions to the Google Assistant content list. Users can now link their 9Now and YouTube Kids accounts to the service.
Once linked, you can now ask Google Assistant to start your favourite Channel 9 Now content for you on a compatible device – either on a device with a screen (like a Nest Hub) or on a compatible cast target. You can also do the same for YouTube Kids.
Are you a big user of these services? Have you tried them out in the Google ecosystem yet?
