We’ve had the chance to look at several TicWatch devices over the last couple of years. Where many Wear OS devices don’t really meet user expectations, the battery life and performance have been good. So the full feature set on the TicWatch E3 is going to grab a lot of interest.

The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 processor on Wear OS with Google Pay (NFC). Like their previous devices, there are a lot of health tracking and general features included such as:

  • Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectiviy
  • IP68 rating
  • 380mAh Battery
  • 1.3″ 360 x 360 resolution screen
  • Advanced health tracking with Blood Oxygen and Vo2Max Tracking
  • Improved GPS accuracy
  • Extra straps: Neon Yellow and Ashy Blue

The health tracking has levelled up with the new generation of TicWatch. Now offering more detailed data sets around blood oxygen levels, stress levels, breath rates, all-day heart rate monitoring, sleep monitoring and your exercise habits.

If the TicWatch E3 catches your interest, it is available via Mobvoi.com and Amazon for a price of USD $199.99

no buy, only samsung wear os watch is future, but again never gen 1, so may be couple of years down the line.

$259.99AUD on the Amazon Tic watch store. It’s a great price for a well featured watch but as others have said, not clear if it will be updated post Wear OS 2.

Do not buy any WearOS watches unless it is confirmed that the specific model will get an update to the next version.

Think it’s worth mentioning that it’s unclear whether this will get upgraded to the upcoming Wear OS colab between Google and Samsung when it comes out …

Pretty good pricing for the specs.

Disappointed they still use the proprietary charger though – really do wish they’d move to standard wireless charging, would make living with it a lot easier. I bought an extra charging cable for the original E3, and it’s still a pain remembering to take it with me, moving them around the house, etc

Or if they’re trading that for a metal back, would be nice to see better waterproofing. One of these would have been nice.

But still, if you don’t need the double screen of the Pro 3, this seems like a bargain.
