November is upon us so it’s time for the monthly security bulletin from our friends at Google. While the introduction of the Pixel 6 has set many hearts aflutter, Google has now dropped support for updates to the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.
The November update has the usual host of changes to the system security framework, media framework and bug fixes: Some of which are specific to the Pixel 6 range. As usual, if you’re rocking a Pixel device and don’t want to wait for the OTA, you can download the factory images and flash them yourself.
Otherwise, just hold off a week or so as the update generally roll out within a couple of weeks.
Another incentive to do something about replacing my Pixel 3. At least I got the October security update and I was upgraded to Android 12.
Still trying to decide between a second hand Oppo Find X3 Pro or a Pixel 6 Pro.
One more update is coming next quarter… Woohoo
