Years ago, Google Tasks was a simple and effective way to manage your individual tasks. The problem was that it was often too simple, lacking integration and functionality which quickly made it redundant. Google has announced that there are changes coming to the task management feature.
Specifically, the ability to not just add; but to manage recurring tasks in a more intuitive way:
Currently, you can set the end option for a recurring task (never, on a certain date, or after X occurrences) by opening the task in Google Calendar. With this launch, you can also set this option directly in Google Tasks. This gives you more control over how and until when your tasks repeat.
Recurring tasks previously were a significant issue for me personally. It was in fact one of the reasons, I move to a stand-alone option for task management. Perhaps it’s time to give Google Tasks another try…
