When winter passes, and we can spend more time outdoors at night, it’s party season. So it’s time to start thinking about upgrading your party kit. Earlier this week, Samsung released three new models to its Sound Tower range.
The three speakers all offer big sound that you can expect to fill a space and lighting to lift the mood.
The Sound Tower series takes party lighting to a new level with five different light modes including Dance, Party and Ambient. The Sound Tower lighting can also be personalised and adjusted with effects to produce the audio-visual harmony for the mood desired.
The major differences are cost, sound output power and battery life:
- MX-ST40B is $599.00, with 12 hours of battery life and 160W of output
- MX-ST50B is $699.00, with 18 hours of battery life and 240W of output
- MX-ST90B is $1,499.00, with hardwired power, 1,700W of output and — your neighbours will love this — supports microphones for Karaoke
If you’re likely to use your speaker in the weather, then the MX-ST40B is probably the better choice with an IPX5 rating. So it can be used around a swimming pool, survive an accidental submersion or be used in the rain.
The speakers are available online at the Samsung store or in Harvey Norman stores if you prefer a bricks-and-mortar buying option.
