We knew that Xiaomi might be working on a WearOS smartwatch, which was possibly to be named the MiWatch back in September. Now it seems Xiaomi has confirmed this via a official teaser image the company has posted to Weibo.

According to the teaser image, it seems Xiaomi will reveal its new smartwatch on November 5th, 2019.

The image shared seems to confirm the possible design of the upcoming MiWatch, taking cues from Apple’s own smartwatch design – a rounded rectangle square design and something we haven’t seen since the original Android Wear days with the Samsung Galaxy Watch, LG Watch or Sony Smartwatch series back in 2014.

Personally, I am somewhat intrigued to see what Xiaomi will bring to the current line up of WearOS devices which have become predictable and somewhat stale. We won’t have long to wait though, with the company set to bring the MiWatch out next Tuesday, 5th November.
