It’s been a long wait for Moto 360 gen 2 owners, but the day is finally here with the Motorola social media account today telling customers that the rollout starts today.
The Android Wear 2.0 update was officially released back in February with the launch of the LG Watch Sport and Watch Style. The update began rolling out to existing watches on March 30. We’ve seen a staggered rollout since then, with Motorola previously announcing the rollout of Android Wear 2.0 to the 360 gen 2 would begin in late May – well, it’s happening.
In response to a query on the status of the update, Motorola have advised the rollout is beginning possibly as early as today:
Happy to report that AndroidWear 2.0 will start rolling out in phases on Moto 360 2nd Gen, possibly as early as today.

At this stage, it’s the Moto 360 gen 2 (including the womens version) but apparently the Moto 360 Sport could take a little longer – it does have a few extra bits after all. If you have a Moto 360 gen 2 on your wrist, start checking that update screen and let us know when you get it.
